Enjoy a picnic-style meal, riverside view, indoor and outdoor kids' activities, all-day access to the Science Center, and special guest appearances by Rodney the Robot from Robots, The Movie and a "Baby T-Rex," the littlest star from WALKING WITH DINOSAURS - the arena spectacular.
Students ages 9 – 14 are invited to attend this drop-in camp which introduces them to Louis Braille, who was only 12 years old when he began work on the system of reading and writing that changed the lives of blind people all over the world. Participants will be inspired by his story. They’ll also learn the basics of his alphabet and practice writing on both a braille slate and a braillewriter. There will be five sessions. Students may choose how many to attend. Instruction will be individualized so students can learn the basics or build on skills learned in earlier sessions.
While the gardens are the premiere feature of the tour, over its seventeen-year existence Hidden Treasures has added new elements for its guests’ enjoyment. The Hospitality Center in Haskins Hall, a part of the historic Conrad-Caldwell House Museum, offers complimentary refreshments and is the site of a silent auction of garden-oriented items.

Gardens range from formal to intimate, shade to sun, large to small, but all reflect the personal gardening tastes of the owners. Since all the gardens on the tour are within Audubon Park, many patrons choose to walk the approximately two-mile route.
